Here's a photo of Matthew's homework. He wrote his name all by himself in a fairly straight line with the letters about the same size and it was a reasonable size too.
Also, the other day I had two paperback books on our ottoman by the same author. He pointed to the author's name and said, "Mommy, these two books have the same word on them." I love to watch the flashes of learning and understanding that take place.
